It is easy to short cut what grease to use. Don't do it. This is the grease to use. Believe it or not there are many characteristics that go into grease and it is important to match those characteristics with its intended use. For example: Grease made for marine bearing is not a good engine assembly grease. Grease made for extreme tempetures is not a good cold weather grease. The NFS folks did their homework around what the best characteristics are needed for bikes and got the balance of temperature needs, assembly needs, water proof needs, sheering strength needs, etc.

Better Performing Than Manufacturer's Freehub Grease

I recently purchased NFS Race Grease after a freehub overall with a major, specialty, wheel company's factory grease produced an abundance of drag. I completely cleaned all of the parts and applied the Race Grease. Drag eliminated. I am impressed.

After using PTL1 for everything...the jump to NFL is literally night and day. No creaks or squeaks! It's thick but not clumpy. Smooth and viscous. Just try it. You won't regret it. For all my moving parts I will only be using one grease and that's NFS.

a must be for every bike enthusiast/rider and bike professional shop..
& grease is such a perception lube to most technicians --- the right color & consistency too..
will never let any other grease close proximity to my/our campagnolo compo-tented hand crafted..

I ordered this shortly after NAHBS and immediately repacked all bearings on my delivery bike (Downtown, Columbus, Oh). The Race Grease has held up far beyond my expectations. I've also noticed after some group rides that I can outcoast pretty much everyone in the group.
